Laura Sevilla is a Lecturer in Computer Vision at the School of Informatics in the University of Edinburgh. She’s also affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems in Germany. Her research interests cover computer vision, machine learning and perception for robotics. In particular, she’s interested in temporal modeling, integrating high-level tasks with low-level perception, and including action in the perception process. Before coming to Edinburgh she was a researcher at Facebook Research, and before that she was at the Max Planck Institute. She holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the US, a Masters from Brown University, and has enjoyed collaborations with Apple Inc, and Adobe Research.
